Audit Preparation Guide
Overview
Regulatory audits ensure that CAMOs comply with EASA Part-M and Part-CAMO requirements. Proper preparation helps avoid findings and demonstrates robust airworthiness control.
Audit Types
- Internal Audits: Conducted by QA for internal compliance
- Authority Audits: Performed by EASA or national authorities
- Customer Audits: Lessors, airlines, or MRO partners
Pre-Audit Preparation
- Notify departments and assign focal points
- Review previous findings and corrective actions
- Ensure access to current AMP, AD/SB records, and MEL
- Verify all forms, reports, and logs are complete and signed
During the Audit
- Provide requested records promptly
- Answer questions clearly and honestly
- Take notes on observations and minor findings
- Clarify misunderstandings on the spot if possible
Post-Audit Actions
- Log findings with classification (Level 1 / Level 2)
- Define root cause and corrective/preventive action
- Assign owners and due dates
- Submit closure evidence to the auditing body
