AMP Sources
The Approved Maintenance Program (AMP) is developed by consolidating mandatory and recommended maintenance tasks from various technical and regulatory sources. This reference page outlines the key inputs used to create and maintain an up-to-date and compliant AMP in accordance with EASA Part-M and Part-CAMO.
1. Airworthiness Directives (ADs)
- ☐ Monitor and integrate applicable ADs issued by EASA, FAA, or other authorities.
- ☐ Verify applicability to aircraft type, model, and serial number.
- ☐ Record compliance status and link documentation to technical records.
2. Service Bulletins (SBs)
- ☐ Review SBs issued by the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) or lessor.
- ☐ Assess applicability and categorize as mandatory, recommended, or optional.
- ☐ Integrate applicable SBs into maintenance planning where required.
3. Maintenance Planning Document (MPD) / Maintenance Review Board Report (MRBR)
- ☐ Extract baseline maintenance tasks and intervals recommended by the manufacturer.
- ☐ Adapt MPD tasks to specific operational profiles if necessary (e.g., high utilization, environmental factors).
4. Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM)
- ☐ Reference detailed technical procedures for performing maintenance tasks.
- ☐ Ensure AMP tasks reference the correct AMM chapters and procedures.
5. Operational and Environmental Factors
- ☐ Identify adjustments based on operational environment (e.g., corrosive, desert, humid conditions).
- ☐ Incorporate additional inspections or task intervals as required by regulatory authorities.
6. EASA Part-M / Part-CAMO Regulations
- ☐ Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements regarding AMP structure, approval, and updates.
- ☐ Integrate specific regulatory mandatory tasks (e.g., Life-Limited Parts tracking, Mandatory Inspections).
